The Travelers Companies, Inc. (NYSE: TRV), through a sponsorship on The Knot, today launched “Dreaming of I Do,” a contest that provides engaged couples across the United States with the opportunity to win $10,000 to plan their wedding. Contestants can enter by submitting their story of how the money would help them make their dream wedding a reality at TheKnot.com/Partnerships/Travelers-Dreaming-of-I-Do-Contest.

“We want to help a happy couple take their special day to the next level,” said Todd Shasha, Managing Director of Personal Insurance Product Management at Travelers. “We protect wedding dreams by offering insurance for when the unexpected happens. With this contest, we are both providing peace of mind and helping a couple kick off the rest of their lives with a truly unforgettable wedding experience.”

Wedding insurance from Travelers is offered through the Wedding Protector Plan, a no-deductible insurance policy that can help protect against unforeseen events that could ruin a couple’s wedding and finances. Wedding claims can occur for a number of reasons, including vendor problems, severe weather, military deployment, sudden illness or injury and property damage. In 2018, the most common wedding insurance claims were those related to vendors who went out of business and could no longer fulfill their contracted services.

“Dreaming of I Do” contest entries should be submitted online and require a name, contact information and a short description of how the couple would use the money. Submissions will be accepted until 11:59:59 p.m. ET on Aug. 14, 2019. Contest finalists will be selected in August 2019, and the winning couple will be announced shortly thereafter.
